Maps:

Click on the thumbnails below to download a map as a PDF. This is the only way I know to share them in a form where they are readable. I’m creating the Topo type maps with a Garmin 60Csx GPS and MacGPSpro software using a Mac and adding comments with Adobe Acrobat. They are designed to help you get a general sense of the distance and direction and NOT intended to be printed out and used as a reference while hiking or riding. Most people who ride out for the day in the area do so without maps because the trails are easy to follow and well marked and it is pretty difficult to get badly lost. Plus, we all know how good our horses are at going home, don’t we? However, if you want a REAL map of the Shenandoah National Park (SNP) buy the map put out by The Potomac Appalachian Trail Club which is the best by far. http://potomacappalachian.org/. More maps will be added as I create or find them. http://potomacappalachian.org/http://potomacappalachian.org/http://www.google.com/shapeimage_1_link_0shapeimage_1_link_1
